Happy days! E Squad's TG, the "Queen of the Green". Op Cupgame was the only game in town until Overt popped up. A photog known to all only by his one word nickname, making it impossible to email him.
Thank you for prompting my mind to remember many such duties and various calamities. They were good times. Especially when one was filling the duty state in with the magical green pen
Brilliant, reminds me of the days on local burglary teams, then later the RCS and NCS. OP mates were where I got all my best recipes. Later I went down the CROPs route and learned to live in a ditch. Good times. Great article.
Dominic, you have refreshed my great memories. My first op van was a Sherpa with a wooden stool and the luxury of a pee hole in the floor, which we couldn’t use as the pee just went into the street and therefore destroyed the covertness (is there such a word) of the van, we therefore reverted to the old lemonade bottle! We must have been at SB together as I remember Overt very well and also worked extremely long hours! A great read, please keep them coming!

Excellent, Dom - made me laugh and remember a week of ND OPs on Tinnitus 😜 My early intro into our world 😆

The moment the green pen came out was always a beautiful one ...

Croppies are all mad. Mad, I tell you! Mind you, I'd rather staff a CROP than go to Glastonbury.
